On an M1, M2, M3, M4 or M5 Mac, the processor, memory and storage all live on one logic board. When that board fails, the whole Mac stops, and your files stay locked inside, because the storage is encrypted by the chip itself.
We repair these boards at component level so the Mac works again with your data intact. Replacing the board, which is what a swap-based repair does, would erase everything.
Faults we repair
- No power after a spill, drop or charger fault
- Not charging on MagSafe 3 or USB-C
- Shorts on power rails that stop the Mac starting
- Corrosion from liquid damage
- Mac stuck in recovery or DFU after a failed update, where a revive can bring it back
What we don’t do
We don’t replace the Apple silicon chip itself or add memory to it; those parts aren’t repairable or upgradeable. The faults we fix are in the circuitry around the chip, which is where most failures happen.

Price
Logic board repair for Apple silicon Macs is £450 + VAT. The initial assessment and advice are free, as long as we don't need to open your Mac. If a technician needs to open it and spend time diagnosing the fault, or you need a report for an insurance claim, it is booked in as a diagnostic at £45 + VAT (£54). All prices are subject to inspection, and nothing is done without your approval.
Questions we’re often asked
Can you get my data back if the board is dead?
Often, yes, by repairing the board. There’s no drive to remove on these Macs, so board repair is the route to your files.
Is my Mac still under Apple’s warranty?
If it’s under a year old or covered by AppleCare+, and the fault isn’t accidental damage, Apple is usually cheaper and we’ll tell you so.
