The Mac Studio has gone through four generations, from M1 Max/Ultra in 2022 to the M5 Max and M5 Ultra models released in September 2026. It has an internal power supply, removable SSD modules paired to the chip, and draws air in through the base, so dust is a common problem. We handle power faults, board faults and data recovery.
The Mac Studio’s vents are underneath and at the back, so placing it on carpet or fabric blocks airflow. Keeping it on a hard surface helps avoid overheating.

Price
We give you a fixed quote after a free initial assessment, before any work starts. The initial assessment and advice are free, as long as we don't need to open your Mac. If a technician needs to open it and spend time diagnosing the fault, or you need a report for an insurance claim, it is booked in as a diagnostic at £45 + VAT (£54). All prices are subject to inspection, and nothing is done without your approval.
Questions we’re often asked
My Mac might still be under warranty. Should I come to you?
If the fault is a manufacturing defect and your Mac is within Apple’s warranty or AppleCare+, Apple is usually the cheapest route and we’ll tell you so. Accidental damage, spills and anything outside cover is where we can help, often faster.
Can you repair it the same day?
Many repairs are done on the same day when parts are in stock. Board-level work and data recovery usually take a few working days, and we’ll give you a realistic time when we quote.
Can I add more memory while it’s in?
No. On this model the memory is part of the chip package, so the amount it shipped with is what it keeps. If you’re short of memory, that’s worth knowing before spending on other repairs.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, our repairs come with a warranty on the work and parts. Ask us for the terms that apply to your repair.
