If your iMac 24-inch (Apple silicon) needs logic board repair, our London technicians can help, usually with a quote on the same day you bring it in.
The logic board sits in the chin and holds the chip, memory and storage. We repair power, charging and board faults at component level. We also check the external power adapter, which can look like a board fault when it fails.
The power adapter connects magnetically and on some models carries Ethernet. When there’s no power, we test the adapter first, because it’s a cheaper fix.
About this model: The colourful 24-inch iMac with M1, M3 or M4 is only 11.5mm thick, with the logic board in the chin and an external power adapter that connects magnetically (with Ethernet on some models). The display is glued, storage is soldered, and there’s very little inside to fail.
Signs it needs logic board repair
- No power
- Won’t boot
- Board shorts
- Faults after a power surge
How we do it
Our logic board work is component-level. We inspect the board under a microscope, measure the power rails, use thermal imaging to find shorts, and work from the board schematics to identify the exact failed component. We then replace that component by micro-soldering rather than swapping the whole board.

Before you bring it in
Describe exactly what the Mac does when you press the power button: lights, sounds, fans or nothing at all. Mention any recent spills, drops, updates or power cuts. Don’t let anyone replace the board if you need your data: on this model, the data goes with the original board.
