If your MacBook Air 13-inch M2 & M3 needs logic board repair, our London technicians can help, usually with a quote on the same day you bring it in.
The logic board holds the M2 or M3 chip, memory and storage. We repair at component level, particularly power, charging and liquid-damaged circuits. Board repair is also the only way to recover data from these Macs.
The MagSafe 3 port and its cable can fail independently of the logic board, so a MagSafe fault isn’t always a board fault. We test that path separately before quoting for board work.
About this model: The M2 and M3 MacBook Air 13-inch (A2681 and A3113) share the flat-edged design with MagSafe 3 charging and a notch in the display. They are fanless and very reliable, so most repairs are accidental: screens, spills and drops.
Signs it needs logic board repair
- No power
- Not charging on MagSafe or USB-C
- Liquid corrosion
- Won’t boot
How we do it
We don’t swap boards by default. Your board is examined under the microscope, its power rails measured against the schematic, and shorts located with a thermal camera. The failed part is then replaced by micro-soldering.
At a glance
| Years | 2022–2024 |
|---|---|
| Processor | Apple M2 or M3, fanless |
| Storage | Soldered to the logic board |
| Memory | Unified memory inside the chip package (not upgradeable) |
| Battery | Held with adhesive |
| Power / charging | MagSafe 3 plus two Thunderbolt ports |
Before you bring it in
Describe exactly what the Mac does when you press the power button: lights, sounds, fans or nothing at all. Mention any recent spills, drops, updates or power cuts. Don’t let anyone replace the board if you need your data: on this model, the data goes with the original board.
