Need a screen replacement for your MacBook Pro 14 & 16-inch M1/M2 Pro & Max? We carry out this work in-house at our London workshop, with a fixed quote before we start.
The mini-LED XDR display assembly is expensive, so we diagnose carefully first, checking the cable, backlight driver and board. If the panel itself is damaged, we fit a full assembly. On Apple silicon Macs features like True Tone may rely on Apple’s parts pairing, and we explain what to expect before you decide.
Blooming (a halo around bright objects on a dark background) is a normal trait of mini-LED, not a fault. We’ll show you the difference between that and a failing backlight zone.
About this model: The redesigned 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro (A2442, A2485, A2779, A2780) brought back MagSafe, HDMI and the SD card slot, and introduced the mini-LED Liquid Retina XDR display. They’re powerful and generally reliable.

How we do it
A cracked panel is obvious, but lines, flicker and dark screens can come from the cable or graphics circuit too. We test each before recommending a new display.
On Apple silicon models, some display features such as True Tone may depend on Apple’s parts pairing process. We tell you what will and won’t work before you decide.
Every new display is tested for dead pixels, backlight bleed, brightness range and camera function before the Mac goes back to you.

Before you bring it in
Don’t press on a cracked screen to ‘test’ it, as this spreads the damage. If you have AppleCare+, check your cover first; we’ll help you compare.

Questions we’re often asked
Are the parts genuine?
Yes, we use genuine Apple parts for this model and test them after fitting.
Will my data be safe?
Yes. We don’t wipe your Mac unless you ask. On this model the storage is encrypted and tied to its original board, so we never swap the board without explaining what that would mean for your data.
