Need a screen replacement for your MacBook Pro 15-inch (2016–2019)? We carry out this work in-house at our London workshop, with a fixed quote before we start.
The 15-inch display assembly is expensive, so we diagnose carefully. Backlight faults that appear at certain lid angles usually point to worn flex cables. Cracks and lines need a full assembly. We explain the choice clearly before any work starts.
About this model: The 15-inch Touch Bar MacBook Pro (A1707 and A1990) packs a quad or six-core Intel CPU and Radeon Pro graphics into a thin body, which means heat. Add the butterfly keyboard and wearing display cables, and you have the main repair themes.
Signs it needs a screen replacement
- Stage-light effect
- Backlight failing when the lid opens fully
- Cracked screen
- Lines or discolouration
How we do it
Before quoting for a new screen, we connect an external display and inspect the display cable, so we know whether the fault is in the screen itself, the cable or the logic board.
Every new display is tested for dead pixels, backlight bleed, brightness range and camera function before the Mac goes back to you.

Before you bring it in
Don’t press on a cracked screen to ‘test’ it, as this spreads the damage. If you have AppleCare+, check your cover first; we’ll help you compare.

Questions we’re often asked
What parts do you use?
We tell you before fitting whether a part is an Apple original, a tested part recovered from a donor machine, or a high-quality compatible part, and the price reflects which you choose.
Do you need to erase my Mac?
No. Your files stay where they are. We only need your password if you’d like us to test macOS after the repair, and we’ll ask before we log in.
Do I pay if you can’t fix it?
No. If the repair isn’t possible, you don’t pay for it, and the free initial assessment costs nothing.
