MacBook Air 13-inch M2 & M3 (2022–2024) Screen Replacement

Apple MacBook Air

Mac Repair London carries out a screen replacement on the MacBook Air 13-inch M2 & M3 from our Central London workshop, for home users and businesses.

The display is replaced as a complete assembly including the camera. We check the display cable first, because a pinched or damaged cable can look like a failed screen. On Apple silicon Macs some features, like True Tone, may rely on Apple’s parts pairing; we explain what to expect before we start.

The display on the M2 and M3 13-inch Air has a camera notch and slim bezels. The panel is thin and sensitive to pressure near the hinge, which is where we see most cracks start.

About this model: The M2 and M3 MacBook Air 13-inch (A2681 and A3113) share the flat-edged design with MagSafe 3 charging and a notch in the display. They are fanless and very reliable, so most repairs are accidental: screens, spills and drops.

Signs it needs a screen replacement

  • Cracked screen
  • Lines across the display
  • Dark areas or blotches
  • No image

How we do it

Before quoting for a new screen, we connect an external display and inspect the display cable, so we know whether the fault is in the screen itself, the cable or the logic board.

Apple links some display features, like True Tone, to its own parts pairing on newer Macs. We explain upfront how that affects your repair.

Before we hand it back, we test the new screen on a full range of colours and brightness levels and check the camera and sensors.

Before you bring it in

Take a photo of the damage while the Mac is on, especially if the fault comes and goes. It helps us tell a panel fault from a cable or graphics fault.
