Need liquid damage repair for your MacBook Air 13-inch M2 & M3? We carry out this work in-house at our London workshop, with a fixed quote before we start.
Spills on the M2 and M3 Air go through the keyboard to the logic board. Switch off, don’t charge and bring it in. We clean, repair and test the board and replace the top case if the keyboard is damaged.
About this model: The M2 and M3 MacBook Air 13-inch (A2681 and A3113) share the flat-edged design with MagSafe 3 charging and a notch in the display. They are fanless and very reliable, so most repairs are accidental: screens, spills and drops.
Signs it needs liquid damage repair
- Won’t turn on
- Keys dead
- Trackpad erratic
- Charging problems
How we do it
Time matters with a spill. Power it down, unplug it and resist the urge to test it: every time current flows through a wet board, corrosion speeds up.
In the workshop we take the machine apart, clean the logic board ultrasonically to remove residue from under chips, then repair or replace any corroded components. We test the keyboard, trackpad, battery and ports separately, as these are often damaged too.
On this model the keyboard is part of the top case, so if it’s damaged we’ll quote for the top case as a separate item so you can decide.

Before you bring it in
Don’t use a hairdryer, which can push liquid further in and warp parts. Leave it off, unplugged and upside down, and tell us what the liquid was and roughly how much.
Which model do you have?
This page covers the MacBook Air 13-inch M2 & M3 (2022–2024) (Mac14,2 / Mac15,12; A2681, A3113). Open the Apple menu, choose About This Mac, then More Info or System Report. The A-number is also printed in small text on the underside. Not sure? Bring it in and we’ll identify it for you.
Price
Non-complex board repairs from £165 + VAT; complex repairs (liquid, lightning or GPU faults) from £285 + VAT. The initial assessment and advice are free, as long as we don't need to open your Mac. If a technician needs to open it and spend time diagnosing the fault, or you need a report for an insurance claim, it is booked in as a diagnostic at £45 + VAT (£54). All prices are subject to inspection, and nothing is done without your approval.
Questions we’re often asked
Should I put it in rice?
No. Rice doesn’t remove the minerals and sugar left behind, and meanwhile corrosion carries on. Switch it off and bring it to us as soon as you can.
Does the battery need replacing too?
Not always. On this model the battery is held with adhesive in the top case, so we test it first and only quote for it if it’s worn or damaged.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, our repairs come with a warranty on the work and parts. Ask us for the terms that apply to your repair.
