The M2 and M3 MacBook Air 13-inch (A2681 and A3113) share the flat-edged design with MagSafe 3 charging and a notch in the display. They are fanless and very reliable, so most repairs are accidental: screens, spills and drops. The midnight finish scuffs easily, and the base M2 256GB model has a single NAND chip, which makes it slower than other configurations.
The base M2 Air with 256GB storage uses a single NAND chip, so it reads and writes more slowly than larger configurations. That’s a design choice, not a fault, and it can’t be changed by a repair. The M3 version fixed this and also supports two external displays with the lid closed.

If a technician needs to open it and spend time diagnosing the fault, or you need a report for an insurance claim, it is booked in as a diagnostic at £45 + VAT (£54). All prices are subject to inspection, and nothing is done without your approval.
Questions we’re often asked
Can you repair it the same day?
Many repairs are done on the same day when parts are in stock. Board-level work and data recovery usually take a few working days, and we’ll give you a realistic time when we quote.
Will my data be safe?
Yes. We don’t wipe your Mac unless you ask. On this model the storage is encrypted and tied to its original board, so we never swap the board without explaining what that would mean for your data.
How much does it cost?
See the price section above. We always quote before starting, and if we can’t fix it, you don’t pay for the repair.
