MacBook Air 13-inch (2010–2017) Repair

Apple MacBook Air

Looking for MacBook Air 13-inch repair in London? Our technicians diagnose and fix it in-house, with a quote before any work starts.

The 13-inch MacBook Air (A1369 and A1466) ran for seven years with the same wedge design, and the 2017 model was sold until 2019, so there are a lot of them. Memory is soldered, but the SSD is a removable blade, the battery is screwed in, and the keyboard can be replaced separately from the top case. That makes most repairs sensible even on older units.

Common faults we fix

  • Tired battery
  • Keyboard damage after a spill
  • Cracked screen
  • Storage full or failing SSD
  • Liquid damage to the logic board
  • Won’t charge

Price

We give you a fixed quote after a free initial assessment, before any work starts. The initial assessment and advice are free, as long as we don't need to open your Mac. If a technician needs to open it and spend time diagnosing the fault, or you need a report for an insurance claim, it is booked in as a diagnostic at £45 + VAT (£54). All prices are subject to inspection, and nothing is done without your approval.

Questions we’re often asked

Is a Mac this age worth repairing?

It depends what you use it for. For recovering data, running legacy software or keeping a working studio setup, often yes. We give you the cost upfront and an honest view on whether it makes sense.

Can I add more memory while it’s in?

No. On this model the memory is soldered to the logic board, so the amount it shipped with is what it keeps. If you’re short of memory, that’s worth knowing before spending on other repairs.

How much does it cost?

See the price section above. We always quote before starting, and if we can’t fix it, you don’t pay for the repair.
