Need your MacBook Air M1 fixed in London? We repair every generation of Mac, and this is a model we see week in, week out.
The M1 MacBook Air (A2337) is fanless, fast and very popular, which is why we see so many. Its weak spot is the screen: the thin lid cracks easily from pressure, often from earbuds or a pen left on the keyboard when it’s closed. Storage and memory are part of the M1 package and the board, so nothing can be upgraded, but screens, batteries, keyboards and board faults are all repairable.
Many M1 Airs we see were bought in 2020–2021 and are now on their original battery, so a battery replacement alongside another repair often makes sense. The M1 Air has no fan, which means dust-related overheating is rare but it will slow itself down on long, heavy tasks; that’s normal, not a fault.

Before you bring it in
If it starts at all, back it up first. Then note the symptoms, any error messages and anything that happened just before, such as a drop, spill or update.
Which model do you have?
This page covers the MacBook Air M1 (13-inch, 2020) (MacBookAir10,1; A2337). Look under Apple menu > About This Mac, or check the small print on the bottom case for the A-number. Not sure? Bring it in and we’ll identify it for you.
Price
We give you a fixed quote after a free initial assessment, before any work starts. The initial assessment and advice are free, as long as we don't need to open your Mac. If a technician needs to open it and spend time diagnosing the fault, or you need a report for an insurance claim, it is booked in as a diagnostic at £45 + VAT (£54). All prices are subject to inspection, and nothing is done without your approval.
Questions we’re often asked
Can you repair it the same day?
Many repairs are done on the same day when parts are in stock. Board-level work and data recovery usually take a few working days, and we’ll give you a realistic time when we quote.
Can I add more memory while it’s in?
No. On this model the memory is part of the chip package, so the amount it shipped with is what it keeps. If you’re short of memory, that’s worth knowing before spending on other repairs.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, our repairs come with a warranty on the work and parts. Ask us for the terms that apply to your repair.
