The A1425 uses a SATA-based blade; the A1502 (late 2013–2015) uses a PCIe blade that accepts NVMe drives through an adapter once on High Sierra or later. That means a 2015 13-inch can go from 128GB to 1TB or 2TB. We fit the drive, restore your data and confirm the firmware supports booting from it.
About this model: The 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro (A1425 and A1502) is still a strong everyday machine, particularly the 2015 model. Memory is soldered and the battery is glued, but the SSD is a removable blade, so storage can still be upgraded.

How we do it
Apple’s blade SSDs use proprietary connectors that changed between generations, so we match the drive (or adapter) to your exact model identifier. For NVMe drives we first confirm the Mac’s firmware is current, because older firmware can’t boot from NVMe.
Once fitted, we either restore your existing system or install the newest macOS your model supports, then run a full read/write test and check the drive’s health reporting before handing it back.
