Mac Repair London carries out liquid damage repair on the MacBook Air 15-inch M2 & M3 from our Central London workshop, for home users and businesses.
Liquid runs through the keyboard onto the board. Switch off and bring it in. We clean the board, repair any damage and test all functions, replacing the top case if needed.
The 15-inch Air’s larger keyboard deck and speaker grilles give liquid more ways in. After a spill, the speakers are often the first thing to sound distorted.
About this model: The 15-inch MacBook Air (A2941 with M2, A3114 with M3) gives you a big screen in a thin, fanless body. The large, thin lid is its vulnerability: screens crack from drops and pressure.
Signs it needs liquid damage repair
- No power
- Keyboard problems
- Trackpad erratic
- Charging fault
How we do it
A spill is rarely fatal if the Mac is switched off quickly. Hold the power button until it shuts down, unplug it and leave it off until we’ve cleaned it.
Once it’s apart, the board is cleaned ultrasonically, dried, and inspected under the microscope. Corroded components are replaced, and then we check the battery, keyboard, trackpad and ports individually.
On this model the keyboard is part of the top case, so if it’s damaged we’ll quote for the top case as a separate item so you can decide.

Before you bring it in
Even if it seems fine after drying, bring it in: corrosion can take days or weeks to cause a failure. Let us know when the spill happened and what the drink was.

Price
From £165 + VAT for non-complex board repairs. Complex repairs (liquid, lightning or GPU faults) from £285 + VAT. The initial assessment and advice are free, as long as we don't need to open your Mac. If a technician needs to open it and spend time diagnosing the fault, or you need a report for an insurance claim, it is booked in as a diagnostic at £45 + VAT (£54). All prices are subject to inspection, and nothing is done without your approval.
Questions we’re often asked
It seems fine after drying out. Do I still need a repair?
It’s worth a check. Corrosion can take days or weeks to cause a failure, and cleaning the board early stops it spreading.
Will my data be safe?
Yes. We don’t wipe your Mac unless you ask. On this model the storage is encrypted and tied to its original board, so we never swap the board without explaining what that would mean for your data.
