MacBook Air 15-inch M2 & M3 (2023–2024) Screen Replacement

Apple MacBook Air

If your MacBook Air 15-inch M2 & M3 needs a screen replacement, our London technicians can help, usually with a quote on the same day you bring it in.

The 15-inch display is a single assembly and larger than the 13-inch, so it costs more. We check the cable and board before replacing it. On Apple silicon Macs features such as True Tone may depend on Apple’s parts pairing, so we explain that before we start.

The 15-inch panel flexes more than the 13-inch when the laptop is lifted by one corner of the lid, which can crack the display. We’d suggest opening and carrying it with two hands after the repair.

About this model: The 15-inch MacBook Air (A2941 with M2, A3114 with M3) gives you a big screen in a thin, fanless body. The large, thin lid is its vulnerability: screens crack from drops and pressure.

Signs it needs a screen replacement

  • Cracked screen
  • Lines or blotches
  • No image
  • Damaged lid

How we do it

Before quoting for a new screen, we connect an external display and inspect the display cable, so we know whether the fault is in the screen itself, the cable or the logic board.

On Apple silicon models, some display features such as True Tone may depend on Apple’s parts pairing process. We tell you what will and won’t work before you decide.

After fitting, we check for dead pixels, even backlighting, brightness control and the camera before handing it back.

Before you bring it in

If it still works on an external display, back it up first. Bring the charger, and tell us whether the damage came from a drop, pressure or a spill, as it helps us check for hidden damage.

Questions we’re often asked

What parts do you use?

We tell you before fitting whether a part is an Apple original, a tested part recovered from a donor machine, or a high-quality compatible part, and the price reflects which you choose.

Will my data be safe?

Yes. We don’t wipe your Mac unless you ask. On this model the storage is encrypted and tied to its original board, so we never swap the board without explaining what that would mean for your data.

How much does it cost?

See the price section above. We always quote before starting, and if we can’t fix it, you don’t pay for the repair.
