MacBook Air 11-inch (2010–2015) Screen Replacement

Apple MacBook Air

Need a screen replacement for your MacBook Air 11-inch? We carry out this work in-house at our London workshop, with a fixed quote before we start.

The 11-inch Air’s glass and LCD are bonded into the lid, so a cracked screen means replacing the full display assembly. We fit the complete assembly, which also includes the camera and antennas, and test everything before returning it.

About this model: The 11-inch MacBook Air is small, light and still popular as a travel or school machine. Its memory is soldered, but its SSD is a removable blade and its battery is screwed in rather than glued, so the most useful repairs remain very affordable.

Signs it needs a screen replacement

  • Cracked screen
  • Lines on the display
  • Backlight dead
  • Lid damage after a drop

How we do it

Before quoting for a new screen, we connect an external display and inspect the display cable, so we know whether the fault is in the screen itself, the cable or the logic board.

Every new display is tested for dead pixels, backlight bleed, brightness range and camera function before the Mac goes back to you.

Before you bring it in

Don’t press on a cracked screen to ‘test’ it, as this spreads the damage. If you have AppleCare+, check your cover first; we’ll help you compare.

Which model do you have?

This page covers the MacBook Air 11-inch (2010–2015) (MacBookAir3,1 / 4,1 / 5,1 / 6,1 / 7,1; A1370, A1465). Look under Apple menu > About This Mac, or check the small print on the bottom case for the A-number. Not sure? Bring it in and we’ll identify it for you.

Display replacement: £289 + VAT (display assembly) + £95 + VAT labour. All prices are subject to inspection, and nothing is done without your approval.

Questions we’re often asked

What parts do you use?

We tell you before fitting whether a part is an Apple original, a tested part recovered from a donor machine, or a high-quality compatible part, and the price reflects which you choose.

Can you fit an SSD while it’s here?

Yes. This model uses a removable apple ssd blade, and swapping to an SSD at the same time is often the best-value upgrade you can make.

Do I pay if you can’t fix it?

No. If the repair isn’t possible, you don’t pay for it, and the free initial assessment costs nothing.
