The redesigned 5-by-5-inch Mac mini arrived with M4 and M4 Pro in 2024, and the 2026 update brought the M6 and M5 Pro chips. The power button is on the underside, and the M4 model’s storage sits on a removable module rather than being soldered. Most units are young, so we focus on accidental damage, power problems and out-of-warranty faults.

Price
We give you a fixed quote after a free initial assessment, before any work starts. The initial assessment and advice are free, as long as we don't need to open your Mac. If a technician needs to open it and spend time diagnosing the fault, or you need a report for an insurance claim, it is booked in as a diagnostic at £45 + VAT (£54). All prices are subject to inspection, and nothing is done without your approval.
Questions we’re often asked
My Mac might still be under warranty. Should I come to you?
If the fault is a manufacturing defect and your Mac is within Apple’s warranty or AppleCare+, Apple is usually the cheapest route and we’ll tell you so. Accidental damage, spills and anything outside cover is where we can help, often faster.
Can you repair it the same day?
Many repairs are done on the same day when parts are in stock. Board-level work and data recovery usually take a few working days, and we’ll give you a realistic time when we quote.
Can I add more memory while it’s in?
No. On this model the memory is part of the chip package, so the amount it shipped with is what it keeps. If you’re short of memory, that’s worth knowing before spending on other repairs.
Do I pay if you can’t fix it?
No. If the repair isn’t possible, you don’t pay for it, and the free initial assessment costs nothing.
