An iBook G4 that won’t start often still has a working hard drive inside. We can recover your photos, documents and email even when the iBook itself can’t be saved.
How it works
The iBook G4’s drive sits deep inside the case, behind dozens of screws. We remove it, image it on our recovery equipment and copy your files to a new drive or USB stick. If the drive has mechanical problems, it goes through our physical recovery process.
A common reason iBooks stop working is the graphics chip fault on the logic board, which doesn’t affect the data at all.

Price
From £150 + VAT for logical recovery; physical recovery from damaged drives from £350 + VAT. All prices are subject to inspection, and nothing is done without your approval.
Questions we’re often asked
The iBook shows a blank screen. Is the data safe?
Very likely. A blank screen on an iBook G4 is usually a graphics fault, and the hard drive is separate from it.
